Yes. MedBriefly is built on AWS infrastructure with a signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA). All patient data is encrypted in transit (256-bit TLS) and at rest. Audio files are automatically purged after transcription, and we never store PHI longer than necessary for processing.

Yes. All MedBriefly customers are required to sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) and agree to our Terms of Service before using the platform. These documents are available upon request—just contact our sales team.

We take security seriously. All data is encrypted end-to-end using AES-256 encryption. Audio recordings are processed in secure AWS environments and automatically deleted after transcription. We maintain audit logs for compliance, and access to patient data is strictly controlled and monitored.

MedBriefly offers two account types: Provider Accounts at $65/month (includes voice recording and all features) and Staff Accounts at $10/month (for medical assistants—includes templates and coding, but not voice recording). Staff accounts require an active Provider Account in your practice.

MedBriefly bills monthly. Your practice receives a single consolidated invoice for all users. Invoices are sent automatically via email to your billing administrator, and you can pay online through a secure payment link.

Compliance macros are pre-written documentation blocks that are automatically included when certain treatments are mentioned. For example, if you discuss opioid prescriptions, ketamine therapy, or spinal procedures, MedBriefly automatically adds the required compliance language, consent documentation, and risk disclosures to your note.

Yes. Based on your clinical documentation, MedBriefly suggests relevant ICD-10 codes to streamline your billing process. These suggestions are informational and should be reviewed by your coding team before submission.

Absolutely. You can create fully custom note templates tailored to your specific practice, specialty, and documentation preferences. Your templates can include custom sections, specific formatting requirements, and your preferred clinical language.

Patient Education lets you create customized educational materials for your patients. Upload your own template once in settings, then generate personalized education letters that highlight specific information relevant to each visit. You can edit the generated content and export it to give to your patients.
